15 Days Exciting Uganda Congo Rwanda Tour

Day 1 -   Arrival to Entebbe, Botanic Garden

Arrival to Entebbe International Airport, meet Marabu Tours guide and transfer to 4 Penguins Hotel. After checking in visit Botanic Garden.  Botanic Garden located just on the shore of Lake Victoria. The walk in here shows all the amazing green tropical trees and there inhabitants: monkeys (black-and-white colobus, red tailed monkey, and blue monkeys), birds, butterflies, flowers, dragonflies, ants etc. The story goes that in a part of the original Tarzan movie (1947) was shot here.

Day 2 - Ziwa Rhino Ranch

Drive to Masindi. Visit Ziwa Rhino Ranch near Masindi where you will have a trekking with the rhinos. Overnight: «New Court View Hotel» / «Red Chilly Camp» (self-contained bandas)

Ziwa Rhino & Wildlife Ranch is home to Uganda’s only rhinos – making this a must for anyone who has come to Uganda to see Africa’s “Big Five”! Tracking these enormous creatures on foot through the savannah and swamps is a thrilling experience, and your specialist guide will share his expert knowledge on these impressive animals.

Day 3 - Murchison Falls National Park

Early morning drive to Murchison Falls for morning game drive. At the afternoon we will have a graceful boat trip along the Victoria Nile to the great falls as we view clearly the hippopotamuses, crocodiles and birds. Then we leave the boat and trek (1 hour) to the top of the hill to see how the water falls makes its way through the rocks forming a great Murchison falls. Overnight: «New Court View Hotel» / «Red Chilly Camp» (self-contained bandas)

Murchison National Park occupies an area of 3840 square meters, is inhabited by 76 mammal species and 450 species of birds. During safari and boat trip we will be accompanied by a Uganda Wildlife Authority guide who are experts on the wildlife in the park and greatly increase your chances of finding the animals, so keep an eye out for the elephants, lions, and giraffes as well as large game herds.

Day 4 - drive to Fort Portal. Walumbe Pits

Drive to Fort Portal, and make a stop in the most mysterious place of Uganda – Tanda Pits (Walumbe Pits of Uganda). Approximate arriving time to Fort Portal is 21:00. Overnight at Raja Hotel / Lake Nkuruba Camp self-contained rooms

Day 5 - Chimps Trekking

Chimps trekking in Kibale National Park. In the afternoon we can spend some time for swimming in Lake Nkuruba and enjoy traditional dancing. Overnight at Raja Hotel / Lake Nkuruba Camp self-contained rooms

Day 6 - Semliki National Park

After breakfast we drive to Semiliki National Park crossing Rwenzori Mountains (60km). We are going to have a walk in Semiliki tropical jungles forward to hot springs. It is possible to boil food (eggs, bananas and cassava) in hot spring, a natural boiler, and eat it for a lunch! After trekking, we drive to Kasese Overnight at Hotel Margherita in Kasese

Day 7 - Queen Elizabeth National Park

Morning game drive Queen Elizabeth National Park. In the afternoon we will cross the amazing Kazinga channel and forward to Ishasha Plains, that is well known for its tree-climbing lion population. Overnight in «At the River» or Suba Motel in Kihihi

Day 8 - Queen Elizabeth National Park

In the morning we will enjoy one more safari in the park. Drive to Kisoro Overnight: depends on which gorilla family is going to be visited

Day 9 -   Gorilla tracking in Bwindi.

At 7.00 we will meet tour guides lead us for mountain gorillas tracking. The walk may take up to 6-7hours, that depends on the weather gorillas family location. But, for sure, meeting with these animals become a remarkable event and you will remember it for a lifetime! Then we drive forward to Lake Bunyonyi located in Kigezi region. We will have a canoe (or motor boat) trip to Bushara Island. Accommodation in cottages Bushara Island .

Day 10 - Lake Bunyonyi

We will spend whole day in the island. There are a lot of activities available here: swimming, sailing to other islands of Lake Bunyonyi by canoe (27 islands), bird watching (crested crane - a symbol of Uganda) , butterfly watching, visiting caves, meet people from a friendly Bakiga tribe, getting acquainted with the work of local blacksmiths, etc. Overnight in cottages Bushara Island.

This amazing Lake formed about 8,000 years ago as a result of a lava flow from local craters which blocked off the Ndego River at present day Muko to create a natural dam. It is probably nowhere greater than 45m deep, the second deepest lake in Africa.

Day 11 - Goma

We will drive to Kabale, Cross Uganda- Congo boarder in Bunaganga. Goma city tour and craft shops. Overnight: «La Brise»

Day 12 - Nyiragongo climbing

Today we will climb Volcano Nyiragongo. Trekking to the top takes approximately 5-6 hours to climb there. Accommodation at cottages on the top of volcano Trekking to the top takes approximately 5-6 hours to climb there. But on the top we will enjoy fantastic views of nature and boiling lava in the crater of the volcano. Nyiragongo is 3470m high volcano—one of the most active volcanoes on the planet. The volcano is famous for persistent lava lake activity in its huge summit crater. Such lakes are currently only observed from few volcanoes.

Note. You need to show your Yellow Fewer Vaccination Certificate! It is rather cold on the top of volcano.

Day 13 - Nyirogongo volcano

After breakfast we will forward to Kibati village crossing lava lake. Then we will come back to Goma and have a rest there. visit pygmies village in request Overnight: «La Brise»

Day 14 - Lake Kivu

Early morning we will cross Congo-Rwanda boarder and drive to volcanic lake Kivu. Here we can swim, do kayaking etc. Boat trip. Overnight: «Paradise Hotel» Gisenyi

Day 15 - Kigali

Drive to Kigali (150 km). Kigali city tour. Visit genocide memorial. Transfer to the airport at the evening
